As soon as I see your order, I respond to you by email that I have received it. That way you aren’t left wondering if it came through or not.

I do not have pre-made stoles in my studio. I create each stole upon receiving the individual order. The stoles are made for the unique height of each wearer.

The peak season for stole purchases is April, May, June. During these months it may be as long as 4 weeks. I say this because this artist (Jan) works more creatively without extra time pressure. Most time of year you will receive it closer to 3 weeks. 60% of the year it may be as quickly as 2 weeks. Much depends on how many orders are on my cutting table before your order comes in. I encourage you to give me your preferred date on the Special Notes section of the Order Form so I know what your time line is.

Yes, if you send me the measurement from the center back of the stole neck to the bottom of one side I will be happy to accommodate you.

The white portion of the stoles is a silk/ramie combination.
The aprox. measurement at the back of the neck is 2" (5.5 cm). The bottom edge of the stole is aprox. 6" (15 cm) wide.

There are many stole makers who will do this for you. Unfortunately my time is limited to creating the stoles you see photographed on the website.

I began adding these extra symbols in 2009. The reason that a stole wouldn't have the additional symbol is when they are created for someone shorter than 5/6". On a shorter recipient there simply isn't enough room to insert solid crosses.

Sorry, I am not able to offer discounts on my work. I am an artist working alone in my home-based studio. It has taken me years to develop my stole designs and I custom make each stole, from beginning to end. Each stole is created for the height of the recipient. If this was a factory and not an art studio then it might be different. What makes my work distinct is that each one is an art piece.

I try to conserve the earth’s resources as much as possible so my website is my only catalog.

Because your stoles have been ordered for your particular height, I do not take them back. If necessary I would encourage you to advertise and sell them yourself starting with your denominational network. Since 2001 I have only received this request once and it was because the person was changing the nature of their work.
